- Hi there! My name is Melanie Patterson. I have 2 older brothers, Stephen & Mark. Stephen is also in real estate on the lower North Shore. I grew up in Killara & Lindfield, & lived in 15 houses. My father was a builder, & my mother an interior deisgner, & their hobby was to buy & resell newly renovated period homes. I loved the excitement of helping my mother create a new home (I especially loved choosing & designing my own bedroom!). My passion of making a house into a home will be with me forever. My husband, Richard, has been in the Real Estate industry for over 30 years, where he began in Bondi & later Woollahra. During this period I was busy developing my own business, a lunchtime restaurant in a gorgeous pub in The Rocks, The Brooklyn Bakehouse. They were amazing years; making terrines, baking ducks & churning ice creams. To this day I am passionate when it comes to anything to do with food... Produce, history, dining, cooking, baking, experimenting, entertaining! When we started our family, Richard bought the agency in Lindfield under the name of Douglas Uzzell, & 3 years later was asked to join the Richardson & Wrench network. www.randwlindfield.com.au
